Animals
Cougar
The cougar, mountain lion, and puma are all the same animal. They are not considered "big cats" because they do not roar.
Giraffe
Despite such long necks, giraffes actually have the same number of neck vertebrae as humans (seven). Their heart is two-feet long and weighs 25 pounds.
Zebra
Zebras sleep standing up and are believed to be one of few mammals that see in color.
Whale
Some whales imitate human speech, but their closest living relatives are the hippos.
Peacock
Only males are actually peacocks. Females are called peahens. Collectively, they're all known as peafowl.
Panda
A panda paw has six digits, which consists of five fingers and an opposable pseudo-thumb, used to hold bamboo while eating.
